Military Marine 8x30 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Overdue After using and admiring the Steiner binos in the US Army; I wanted a pair of my own. Hunting Antelope and Mule Deer, and borrowing my buddies to spot game reminded me how much I wanted a set, and decided to buy a pair of my own. I opted for the Military-Marine 8x30 model because it was a good compromise between power, brightness and portability. I'm very happy with my choice. They will be a constant companion for camping, hunting and fishing. My friends and family that check them; out are all impressed with the brightness and clarity. Favorite feature is the "set it and forget it" focus. Thank you Steiner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from durable and great optics We bought the 8X30 military/Marine 10 years ago for our ranch and nature viewing. They are still going strong and get used almost daily year round. These binoculars get carried around on a Quad as we check cattle over open rangeland, which can be quite rough. The optics are still in perfect shape. We decided to get another 8X30 to have if we go on vacation while our family has the 10 year old set to use on the ranch. Other people have tried them and bought their own 8X30.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, only because of the warranty. I've had these bino's for a few months now, using them for both hunting and boating. I love the compact size and overall quality of them. However one day of light rain fogged up one side of the bino. I've sent them back for repair, hopefully I don't have anymore issues with them after this because before they fogged up they were great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8x30 Military and Marine I bought a set twenty years ago and they have served me well. The only negative I can think of is that the strap that comes/came on them is horrible…too thin for wearing all day on a hunt. Optics are great and l love knowing they are rugged, shock proof, and waterproof. There are times I wish they had more magnification, especially as we all have been addicted to higher magnification riflescopes, but the quality of the lenses make up for that. Great binocs, and I am sure they are going to outlast me, and serve my son well after I can no longer hunt. I endorse them absolutely and with no reservations. (The strap was a $10 fix, and now it gets five stars in every category.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing, rugged glass Friend of mine has had this exact model for nearly a decade and has been invaluable to him, bought it on his recommendation. I could not be happier. These are lightweight with amazing glass quality. You can quickly glass large areas without having to mess with focus or magnification changes. For Elk hunting in the Uintas you are going to be hard pressed to find better binos for the price. For a Porro prism binocular this is your guy; short of needing higher magnification or additional features such as integrated range finder or compass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FINALLY GOT MY STEINERS!! BUCKET LIST ITEM I bought my Steiners acfew years ago. Was going to take them to Arizona to see Grand Canyon but my mom came down with dementia. I use them occasionally to look at planes but haven't really been able to see what they can REALLY do. Until today! Never went to Fleet Week in NYC but I went today. Got to west side of Manhattan, pulled those babies out and looked across into New Jersey. Holy sh**! It was a mile across and I could read writing on signs. The Navy jets did a flyover and I eatched them for "minutes." I said to myself "if these are "that good" what do the "$12,000 pair look like?" Don't think I'll ever know but I don't need to with these. Unbelievable! I'm into German cars and German binoculars. These bad boys are the TRUTH!
