DRS1X Reviews
Engineered for speed, simplicity and accuracy
The DRS1X lives up to its namesake with rapid and lethal target engagement at close quarters.
The DRS (Defendu Reflex Sight) is so versatile and effective at close range, we've named it after the famed Lt. Colonel William Ewart Fairbairn whose Close Quarters Combat system was designed to rapidly disable an opponent with potentially lethal force. Perfect for tactical operations or home defense, the 1x reflex sight offers three reticles calibrated for speed and accuracy at 7, 25 and 50 yards.
The ultimate CQB sight, it is built with Steiner's legendary ruggedness. Lightweight, compact and simple to use.

Best CQB sight out there
I just recently purchased this sight, and I must say I absolutely love it. The field of view is bigger and better than any Eotech I have. I have approx. 500 rounds on it and have not had one issue. Great Job Steiner !!

I recently purchased a Steiner DSR1X red dot. In daylight, i can only see the reticle on the brightest setting and even that is dim. I put in new AA batteries and there was no difference. Does this mean the ret dot is not operating properly.
They are definitely supposed to be daylight bright on a few settings. If you think there might be something wrong we can definitely take a look at it.

With an astigmatism, often red dot type sights are blurry or have a starburst-ed effect to the sight picture. How does this sight compare/what type of sight picture can I expect? 1 or 2 MOA dots are easy to overcome but what about a 13.64 MOA dot?
Since it is a red dot sight it could interfere with an astigmatism on the smaller reticle settings. The large reticle is big enough that I have not heard any complaints.

Does this sight have any shortcomings in Day Time sighting on targets with the sun in back ground?
No, these are designed to be used at any time including bright daylight.
