Steiner Micro Pistol Sight Lifestyle

Battle Proven Durability

The MPS boasts an enhanced extra side wall that produces a best-in-class shock rating. The completely enclosed laser emitter is water pressure tight making it reliable in the harshest environments and any weather condition.

Compact Size

Only 58g means the sight is light and compact. Its short size avoids any “tunnel-vision” while the low weight allows a perfect use

Daylight Bright dot

8 brightness settings (two night vision) can easily be managed due to the ergonomics of the raised button on the side of the optic. The 3.3 MOA dot allows fast and smooth target acquisition in any condition.

Battery Life

The 13,000 hours of battery life puts the MPS on top of its class and the easily accessible battery compartment allows changing the battery without dismounting the MPS from the gun. A flashing red light indicates low battery.

True 1X

The 1X magnification allows both eyes open operation and complete situational awareness.

MPS is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Purchased the first one back in February and after a little over 900 rounds the dot died. Steiner's excellent customer service sent me a new one under warranty so I currently have about 500 rounds through this one. Love the window size and the sleek almost futuristic look. I would have preferred a 2032 battery as it's easier to find and would share batteries with my other red dots and scopes. Also, I don't like that I lose some brightness if I turn off the auto shut off feature. It is still a very nice RDS and I understand why the features I complain about are there. After all that, I purchased a 2nd one as back up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sight but confusing advice from Steiner! I wanted to have an Aimpoint Acro-P2 because I already have a P1 on one of my pistols. After waiting for months I decided to give the Steiner MPS a go after watching a review done by Sage Dynamics on YouTube. Was excited to get the sight and immediately loved it. Mounted it on a new Walther PDP 4" but had to order an Acro plate from CHPWS as recommended from the website since the supplied plate doesn't work at all. I was a little confused with Steiner noting in the manual to make sure you install a steel plate but recommending CHPWS (No issues with them, have 3 other plates from them and have no issues) which offers aluminium plates. I spent the $95 for the plate and the shipping and installed it and it looked great. Took it to the range today to sight it in but had some issues with the sight seeming to lift from the plate towards the rear sight. Went home and this is what I found. The plate couldn't handle the sight and is now ruined. The sight look OK with no visible damage. Already ordered a new plate from CHPWS to see if this is bad luck or bad advice/instructions from Steiner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Optic with One Flaw I used my Steiner MPS on my Glock 17 with the C&H Precision adapter plate. Putting 200-300 rounds through the gun with the MPS was great, glass quality is crisp and the dot optic functioned flawlessly. Where I ran into issues was with the retention screw that is the sole screw that holds the retention plate onto the mount. After a couple hundred rounds the screw did fail (sheared off) and the optic flew off my firearm. My recommendation is to get the upgraded mounting screw and bracket if you plan on using this setup for duty or other heavy use. Otherwise this is a great alternative to the Aimpoint Acro for a couple hundred bucks less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its tuff I been testing this out for a few days. I tell you its tuff. It holds the zero perrfect no matter how rough you are on it. And I have been rough on it! Very happy so far. It lives up to the name.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great optic, instructions are utterly useless 500 dollat sight and the manual is worthless... I Love the sight but aside from showing how to mount it properly they do nothing to show or explain the features. Steiner please put a better manual online on how to lock the sight, remove the 13 hour time off, and use the features of this optic. You have a manual in several languages and it explains nothing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Updated I was sold on the ACRO p2 but it is impossible to find so I did research. I watched SageDynamics and others so I decided to give Steiner a try. I was nothing but impressed with this red dot. It is just as good as the ACRO. They both look like bricks on your pistol but you cant beat the quality. I trust Steiner so much I will be buying a second and purchasing a LPVO. Update…. The LPVO is great but the battery life is terrible. It doesn’t even compare to my Acro. And when I contacted Steiner about another issue I had with another product they were less than helpful. So I own 3 MPS and an lpvo and I am contemplating if I will order more and if I can recommend to others I work with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have wanted this rds for so long, but ... The sight is marvelous, I really want to use it. But the mount is horrid. I have mounted it to the supplied arco plat twice and twice the one screw that does the clamping has sheared under use. The first tome after maybe 20 range loads (10mm on a Tanfoglio Hunter) it sheared and clipped my forehead. Second time (today) it sheared after 21 rounds (same ammo, not hunting loads). First time shear left nothing to clamp to, to remove the remainder of the bolt, this time I was able to extract bolt and found the mounting clamp. I really wanted this to work for a hunting rig, but at this point I don't trust it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly the finest pistol red dot I've owned. After running through options from Burris, Holosun, and Trijicon I finally have my "forever" handgun optic. I have had dots obscured no less than 5 times over the years by obstructions(dirt, mud, sand, water, and even soda) that rendered my pistol optics unusable. I truly believe this optic will stand up to all of that and more, and still have a nice crisp dot on which to aim. I only have 300 rounds through it, but so far so good. The window is much larger and nicer to view through than the Aimpoint Acro, and with the emitter on the top of the optic, the window sits closer to the slide than any of the other optics I have tried. The only feature I could see myself wanting to add is an auto-brightness option, but with the battery life as good as it is, I'll just leave the optic on higher than normal and swap batteries each year. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the packaging it comes in. Even Holosun has a nice molded foam box with a hard top and a slip sleeve. I was a little disappointed in the cheapie box it came in for the price of the optic, but hey, if it's as nice as I believe it to be, it will never have a reason to go back into that box. All in all, Steiner has gone above and beyond for me on another optic I own on which I stripped a hole through my own fault. Steiner has me sold on both their products and their customer service and now my shooting buddies are literally looking for the best deals on the MPS to equip their handguns. Word travels Steiner! Keep up the good work, and market this thing better!! People need to know this thing exists!

Regarding the buttons on the side, is it normal for the minus button to have no positive press or click when the plus button has a positive click and sound? Just received mine and going through the manual to see if it's a feature but no info on that.

Asked by: Lunchbocks
No problem, that's by design.
