German Precision. 8X

The Predator 8 is the most versatile and precise line of hunting optics ever made by Steiner featuring a powerful 8x system. Be prepared for hunting any species, in any terrain across the globe with a Steiner Predator 8.

An integrated customizable ballistic turret allows shooters to reliably and accurately dial for bullet drop, and three different numbered, movable rings, can be set to custom distances for quick dialing. Audible and tactile turret mechanics provide sure, intuitive operation and a Zero Mode means shooters can quickly get back to zero without coming off the optic.

A wide field of view and high-contrast lens coatings ensure fast, brilliant, and crisp images with high edge-to-edge sharpness and outstanding detail recognition. Users will not lose accuracy on dark targets or in low light with illuminated reticle options with 11 brightness settings.

The Predator 8 2-16x42 is the lightest and most compact of the lineup and includes a rear focal plane E3 Ballistic reticle, with cascading subtensions and windage dots to help with tricky holdovers.

Predator 8 2-16x42 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic scope Very nice build quality. I have nothing bad to say about the product itself. I gave a 4/5 rating due to the instruction manual is missing vital information on how to overwrite/reset the ZERO STOP turret. The word ZERO STOP appeared once in the manual but there was no mentioning on its function or how to use it. I’ve also researched online but couldn’t find any video from Steiner for this matter. It seems the manufacture has assumed that the majority customers are already familiar with the term. If you are new to ZERO STOP turrets like me, you might run into issues when sighting in your rifle. The ZERO STOP might make you think you have bottomed out your elevation travel very quickly. Ironically, the competitor ZEISS has very detailed instructions and a video demonstration for their V4 lineups' ZERO STOP which saved my day. Once I have reset the ZERO STOP and adjustable rings on the turret, the scope seemingly to produce very consistent and repeatable results when dial to different distances.

Asked by: Jonk
You'll need 30mm rings. The 40mm is for the objective.

I won a raffle with SCI, got a Christensen riffle with a predator 8 2-16x24 scope, the manual was lost somewhere in the transaction, is there a downloadable one available or can you send me one? I love the scope but need some clarification on adjustments
