The KC-1 Reticle in the Steiner T6Xi 1-6

Why? The why behind this came after seeing the rendition of the reticle Steiner was going to put in their T6Xi 1-6 optic. To say I didn't like it would be putting it lightly. For a patrol style optic that they wanted it to be, there were a lot of missing items and too many unnecessary items. So, the KC-1 was created. Created to be a patrol/self defense minded reticle. On 1x it is as simple and easy to align on a target and at 6x it has the qualities of a scope that offers simple holds for whatever you choose to mount it on.

T6Xi 1-6x24 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from KC-1 Glass is outstanding. KC reticle is very useful. Quick to get on target. Circle is a bit big could have been smaller. Once you get used to the reticle it works great for quick shots. I’m not trying to be a marksman at 30 yards and this works great at that range for center mass. Once out to 100 plus yards crosshairs work great. I don’t typically use FFP on my short range work rifles so was not sure how it would work. Great for me. I enjoy the supplied throw lever. The fact it is etched reticle is why I went with it. You know in case of emp will still work unlike a red dot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The T6XI is a great high quality lpvo. I’ve used it at the range multiple times now and it has been great. The glass is extremely clear from 1x-6x. My only probably was the lack of clarification on how best to use the reticle. However I was able to figure it out fairly easily. Using it at 400 yards with a 14.5 AR 15 made multiple follow up shots a breeze. I just put the target at the bottom of the red ring and the hits just kept coming. The reticle is great and 1x is very useable and makes for quick acquisition. The only complaint I’d have is that it’s not truly daytime bright in the full force of the sun, but that is very common with all LPVO. Next thing I need to do is learn how to find my dope and I will be good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected Eye relief is amazing and the reticle is great for quick acquisition. Reticle seems Daylight bright to me but I’ve not run any other LPVOs on my AR. Paired it up with a scalarworks cantilever mount and this is my new go-to setup. Running it on an DDM4V7 and it could have used a bit more range, like a 1-10x but with how clear the glass is and the reticle being really quick on target, I actually dig this scope. Anyone looking for a 1-6x LPVO, first focal plane, made by a combat/service tested brand, this is the optic for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daytime bright reticle with versatile reticle For the role of an LPVO on a carbine it is extremely useful and the features provided work extremely well for a defensive/LEO rifle. Turrets are firm but not difficult to adjust. Zeroing took all of five rounds. Magnification ring is also firm but just about perfect with the throw lever. Reticle is daytime bright and has on/off between settings. Battery life is sufficient. Battery lasted a year, I turn it off between shifts since it’s so easy to turn on before deployment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good LPVO I have a good amount of time with multiple LPVO’s, and this is my favorite so far. To start off the construction is very strong and seems like it’ll last the test of time. Exposed turrets are nice, only wish it was lockable on both not just one. Optic seems only zero-able to 100M so keep that in mind. Eye relief is good and weight is fine. Pair with a lightweight mount IE badger ordnance and you’ll be good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great optic This optic is great. Insane clear, picks up light well, especially to be a 24mm objective lens, my only gripe is the the lock ring for the diopter isn’t super secure. With the lens cap on, it’s not too hard to bump it out of adjustment. I’m going to try and tighten it a little more than I like and see how it goes, but it’s not a deal breaker at all. Overall, best 1-6 in its price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Value. This Steiner Scope has become one of my favorites for my M4 platform. Presently mounted on an Sig 716. Filled with features normally found in higher priced optics, yet at a reasonable price. Quality lenses provide very good light gathering and outstanding clarity. Let’s hope that Steiner comes out with an 8 power version of this mighty little scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Optic Had to learn the hard way years ago that you get what you pay for. Day one of using this optic and I truly see how important it is to have good glass in an optic, and this one doesn't disappoint. Will buy another when I get another rifle.
