Nighthunter LRF 8x30 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from These binoculars have a crystal clear view, an awe Got the glasses for range finding and they work fantastic, get a ral clear picture of what I am looking at and an accurate range of where my target is at

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Optics, Reliable Ranging Will consistently ranged steel plates out to 1665m even in bright light. Optical performance has been fantastic. Down side is the lack of a tripod adapter and the reticle can fade out at times in bright light. Horizontal distance or angle indication would also be nice. Ranging is very fast and accurate, Can't go wrong with a German made product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elk Hunt We where out elk hunting just before daylight. I had my 7x56 Night Hunter's and my partner had a pair of 10x50 Leica's. Just at first light I saw a great six point Elk about 500 yards out. I told my partner where he was and he told me I see the Elk but I cant make out the horns. I took the Leica's and he was right.

Hello, Will I be able to see objects closer than 20 yards with Sports-Auto Focus system ?

Asked by: Radu
You can see them, but they will not likely be in sharp focus. The Sports-Auto-Focus system was designed to work with the user's eyes and eliminates the need for a manual focus wheel. Additionally, with the LRF model, it is assumed that distances greater than 20y will be viewed, as the rangefinder's minimum range is ~27y. For close-up viewing and magnification, you may be interested in the Fast-Close-Focus system of our many Roof prism offerings.

For hunting which better than auto focus or fast-close....?tnx

Asked by: nakhjir
That's going to depend more on the user and the type of hunting. When observing or scouting, the Sports-Auto Focus may be easier to use, as it works with your eyes to focus the image from about 30y to infinity. Fast-Close Focus is going to offer clear definition as close at 6 feet, and allow for control of the focus with the center focus knob
