Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice travel binoculars I have a pair of the predetors for hunting but are too large for when we are traveling on my motorcycle. We are headed to Yellowstone and these are the perfect fit. As always Steiner binoculars are easy to focus and very clear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service! I received these as a replacement for a previous pair that had the right front lense come loose. I was very pleased with the previous binoculars and after using these for 2 days of hunting I am equally pleased with this new pair. I was thrilled with Steiner's rapid turn around with the replacement of the defective pair. Shipped in on a Thursday and had the new ones the following Thursday. That is incredible service in my book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very portable, easy to use, and good quality We bought two travel binoculars for a Christmas trip to the Galapagos. Both were very portable, easy to use, but have to say the Nikon was much brighter.

What is the eye relief of the 8x22 safari ultrasharp?

Asked by: MikeB
Unfortunately I do not have access to that kind of specification. Eye relief was removed from our specifications when the entire product line began using some form of collapsible or twist-down eyecup (this feature was added specifically to enhance accessibility for eyeglass wearers.)

The pivot hinges on my Ultrasharp 8x22 is very loose and it is difficult to set the comfortable viewing distance. Is the normal and can it be tightend?

Asked by: Elmarie
There is a small slot behind the rubber over the hinge at the objective where the hinge can be tightened. Otherwise, we'd be happy to service it under Warranty: Steiner-optics.com/repairs Please create a support case on our customer service portal, we'll be glad to service your binoculars under the Heritage Warranty.

I wear eyeglasses and want to use these without removing them. Some specs identify "eye relief" as a spec that should be about 14-15 mm for this purpose. Is this spec found on these binoculars? Thanks.

Asked by: DEH726
Unfortunately we do not have specific eye relief specs for binoculars, for pretty much this exact reason. Your best option would be to fold down the ergonomic eye cups so that you will be able to get the eye pieces closer to your glasses.

I have Steiner Safari 8x30 binocs. Do you have (or can you recommend) any solar filters for this model? We are in the direct path of the August eclipse and would like to use our binoculars with protective filters. Thank you Michael Alleman

Asked by: Mike A
Unfortunately, Steiner does not have solar filters for its binocular models. Additionally, we strongly recommend *against* using binoculars to view the Sun.
