Rated 2 out of 5 by from Steiner Predator 8x42 Very disappointed that these binoculars are no longer made in Europe. Apparently, Steiner is ashamed of this because they no longer list the country of origin anywhere on the binoculars or the packaging.

What does 8 x 42 mean?

Asked by: Patt
8 is the magnification power, and 42 is the size of the objective lens. This helps determine your field of view and brightness of your binoculars.
